Road infrastructure plays an important role in transportation, economic development, and access to essential services. However, some roads in Burao are damaged and poorly maintained due to heavy vehicle movement, rainwater, erosion, and a lack of regular maintenance.

Damaged roads create difficulties for drivers, pedestrians, and business owners. They also increase transportation costs, cause traffic congestion, and make it difficult for residents to access schools, hospitals, markets, and other public services.

During the rainy season, some roads become difficult or dangerous to use because of potholes, flooding, and poor drainage systems.

Therefore, there is a need to repair and rehabilitate damaged roads to improve transportation, public safety, and community development.

The proposed project aims to repair and rehabilitate damaged roads in Burao to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for residents and road users.

The project will focus on identifying damaged roads, filling potholes, repairing road surfaces, improving drainage systems, and reconstructing severely damaged sections where necessary.

The local government will work with road construction companies, engineers, and community representatives to implement and supervise the project.
